A Portland that helps families build stable lives.
Affordability is at the heart of the biggest challenges our city faces. It should be at the heart of every solution.
Stable Homes
Portland's rents have nearly doubled in a decade. I'll pursue a Tenant Bill of Rights that sets a foundation for permanently affordable social housing so working families can stay in the city they built.
More detail coming soon →Real Transportation
Gas prices, insurance rates, and parking fees are out of control. We need reduced cost transit for everyone under 25, buses free from traffic, and expanded options in SW Portland so getting around doesn't require a car payment.
More detail coming soon →Economic Opportunity
Affordability isn't just about rent. It's about wages, jobs, and whether your neighborhood has what you need. Let's reimagine downtown as a complete neighborhood, support worker-owned businesses, and invest in commercial corridors so opportunity is distributed across the city, not concentrated in one ZIP code.
More detail coming soon →Good Governance
Bad governance makes everything more expensive. I'll require transparent early budgets, support participatory budgeting so residents have more control over spending, and use real oversight to make sure every dollar the city spends actually delivers results.
More detail coming soon →Community Safety
Poverty and instability only worsen conditions of addiction and mental health. Let's expand unarmed crisis response, partner with community organizations to keep families stable and connected, and demand more from our state and county partners to provide needed mental health services.
More detail coming soon →Climate & Environment
Climate disasters are an affordability crisis. Fires, floods, and extreme heat hit low-income families hardest. I'll prioritize climate resilience, build on Portland's renewable energy commitments, and make sure District 4's most vulnerable residents aren't left holding the bill for disasters they didn't cause.
